Football: Asfac and SC Sète decimated, Mèze dejected, Balaruc stopped

La journée de Régional a été perturbée, mais les clubs de Thau s’en sortent plutôt bien.
When reading the match sheet, few people imagined the performance achieved by the group at Greg Tanagro's disposal. With seven starters in the infirmary, four players discovering R1, we did not expect much from a team assembled in a “hurry”. Applying to the letter the instructions of the coach, one of the few to see a positive outcome, it surprised. It even “disgusted” the opponent.
Fair play in the locker room
Forced to defend, the duo of Sandro Pagès and Florian Moureaux still outwitted the Clermont defense by opening the score. The rest was a lot of fouls on both sides and a huge Yolan Dalouze. It was also a penalty for opponents who were not always fair play, like a very bad gesture not caught by the referee, and a stormy exit due in part to frustration.
For the coach, it was pride that dominated: « The group did what I wanted: give up the ball, lead the counterattacks to the limit, show solid impact and make a very good opposing team doubt. Everyone did the job, they can be proud of themselves».
Mixed memories
In Sète, the draw by Sporting-Club, without a goal on a pitch in poor condition, did not have the same flavor even if, there too, the squad was reduced. It is the second in two days for Adil El Hasnouni's men, it puts the Sète team four points behind the leaders before a perilous trip to Uzès.
The Mézois coach, Éric Miramond, will not keep a good memory of his escapade in Aveyron: « We dominated, especially after the break. A single opportunity at the end of the match was enough for the Millavois to win. We are punished but I have nothing to reproach my players for”.
In Argelès, the principle of communicating vessels had a partial effect. Only partially, the young Frontignan reserves who had largely contributed to the good performance of the flagship team, nevertheless gave themselves a good point.
Finally, the Balarucois did not go all the way in the match, the rain did not want it. They were trailing 3-2 when the match was stopped.
Asfac/La Clermontaise 1-1,
SC Sète/Castelnau-le-Crès 0-0,
Millau/Mèze SFC 1-0,
Sud-Hérault/Stade Balaruc stopped,
FC Albères-Argelès II/Asfac II 0-0. I subscribe to read the rest
