Football Club Bagnols Pont-Saint-Esprit forced to change coach for “economic reasons”

Loïc Lefebvre, éducateur des U12-U13, a été nommé entraîneur de l’équipe première du FCBP. Le club, en difficulté financièrement, a été obligé de trouver une solution interne pour remplacer André Basile.

The Football Club Bagnols-Pont-Saint-Esprit has announced the appointment of Loïc Lefebvre (46 years old) as new coach of the first team which plays in regional 1. He succeeds André Basile& nbsp;who had held the position for over a year. "This is a joint decision for the financial good of the club, explains the president elected last December, Amar Kouadri-Henni. I really wanted to continue working with André Basile. He is a good trainer but the economic situation no longer allowed it. We took over the club with a deficit of 60,000 euros."

To overcome these financial problems, the office chose an in-house solution. Loïc Lefebvre, at the club since 2013, is an educator for U12-U13. "He’is someone very committed and very professional, describes the president. He offered to be the interim to finish the year. It’is a solidarity commitment for the financial good of the club."

"The FCBP is not just about seniors"

Its main mission will be to remain in R1. For this, the new coach will be supported by Habib Lakhmaiss, current reserve coach. "We agreed to lead the team with Habib because we are attached to the club and we really don't want it to die out, indicates Loïc Lefebvre, who will keep his cap as coach of the U12-U13. We cannot let go of the club because there are more than 400 licensees.  The FCBP is not just about seniors." Proof of his attachment to the FCBP, the coach would like to donate his compensation to the club. In R1, a coach is obliged to receive compensation. There cannot be volunteering as Loïc Lefèvre would have liked. "I'm not here to take the club's money"

When he took over the team, he did not hide the situation of the club from the players. ;quot;. "I am transparent with them. We have to keep up, we have to mobilize the whole group.
