Football: Entente Nord Lozère travels to Riom-Ès-Montagnes in the French Cup on Saturday

Un nouveau week-end de Coupe de France, pour l’ENL (R2) contre l’Entente Stade riomois – Condat (D1), samedi 14 septembre, à 20 h.

For the third round of the Coupe de France, the Énélistes are travelling again, this time to Cantal, in Riom-Ès-Montagnes. The green and whites are in good shape at the start of the season and have won two consecutive games in the Coupe de France, 2-1 against the Union sportive de la Cère and in the championship with a victory last weekend 1-0, against Beaumont, in Regional 2.

The Riomois are on the back of a 3-1 defeat in the championship and must get back into the rhythm to be able to catch the Lozériens who play two divisions above. But for coach Barraban, the current form and the difference in level do not change anything in the team's mentality. "They are going to play a real Coupe de France match; it is up to us to put in the ingredients. Our preparation does not change regardless of the team facing us, the players give it their all."

The goal of the match is clear and remains the same as every weekend: to get the victory to be able to continue the adventure. These matches allow the players to stay involved and not lose the rhythm.

For this match, Lilian Condon decided to rotate his squad to give playing time to the substitutes and integrate the young players. Having the right to take fifteen players during this trip and due to the absence of Loïc Ruat, the coach decided to call up Gabin Nicolas and Valentin Vialleton, who are joining the senior group this year. A rotation that doesn't worry the Lozériens, aware of their qualities.

"The goal, of course, is to win. We have no choice!, declared Lilian Condon a few days before the match. If we are at our level, it should go through without a problem. The ground is good, we have no excuses."
