Les Sétois devront faire sans Floris Isola. MIDI LIBRE – E.R.

Recruitment proves once again the club's ambitions.

After a turbulent season in terms of image and internal difficulties, but in line with the club's sporting ambitions, Sporting Club Sétois logically wants to continue its rise to the regional summit. With Adil El Hasnouni, the coach retained on the bench, an XXL recruitment for R2, the off-season seems to have provided many answers to the questions that observers were asking.

Floris Isola hangs up his boots

At first glance, they offer more serenity and a fair number of guarantees, even if the road is still long. If the emblematic Floris Isola has decided to hang up his boots, the squad has expanded and a new staff now supports the Sète technician, proof of the directors' desire to continue their efforts by giving themselves the means.

With in particular the extension of Thomas Pron, the scorer of the last season, those of sure values, we note the arrivals of some regional big names. For the coach, it was essential: « I wanted to double the positions, it is imperative that competition plays its role fully. It contributes, even obliges, to perform. For this it must be real.

Competition

Group A of R2 will not be a sinecure, Adil El Hasnouni knows it, he wants to be cautious: « As is often the case, in the east of the region football is, it seems to me, more solid, in any case generally more homogeneous. We will face four relegated from R1 (Bagnols, Pays-d'Uzès, Vendargues and Aimargues) and two clubs that have long aimed for promotion last season (Chemin Bas and Castelnau). The objective is clear, we must play the leading roles while knowing that nothing is ever acquired”.

The “Green and White” circled team seems sufficiently armed for the fight at the top of the table in group A of R2, a championship that promises to be difficult but interesting.
