Football: Paris Saint-Germain wins its 12th Champions Trophy by beating Toulouse (2-0)

Thanks to goals from Lee and Mbappé, PSG beat Toulouse (2-0) on Wednesday January 3. 

It's only the Champions Trophy but it's already a new title that Paris Saint-Germain won by beating Toulouse on Wednesday evening.

A rather quiet success for the Parisians who dominated the entire match, making their task easier with a quick goal from the South Korean Kang-in Lee on an assist from Ousmane Dembélé (3rd).
A Parisian right side from which PSG's main chances still came, the French international finding himself with his eyes closed with the Moroccan Hakimi but this lacked precision (28th, 31st, 33rd).

An absence of realism which could have been costly if Dallinga's shot had not been deflected by Donnarumma onto the post (37th). The Toulouse people, who had already been dangerous by Suazo (18th), resisted as best they could.

New record for Kylian Mbappé and PSG

Except one man was on a mission to break a new record…hellip; Kylian Mbappé, of course. Still positioned at the forefront of the Paris Saint-Germain attack, he slalomed through the TFC defense to score his 111th goal at the Parc des Princes just before half-time (44th). He thus became the top scorer in the history of the Parisian club in his stadium, overtaking Edison Cavani.

A goal which destroyed Toulouse's chances and allowed PSG to manage their second half. A free kick from Hakimi pushed back by the post could have added to the score (56th).
The only bad news of the evening from PSG was the ankle injury of Slovak defender Milan Skriniar (71st). This allowed the Brazilian Lucas Beraldo, the first recruit of the winter transfer window, to make his debut to the acclamations of the generally Parisian public even if many Toulouse residents had made the trip.

It was they who roared with pleasure at the final whistle as Paris won their 12th Champions Trophy, again a success. PSG won their 12th Champions Trophy on Wednesday, logically dominating Toulouse (2- 0) at the Parc des Princes, thanks in particular to a goal from its star Kylian Mbappé.
