Football: this season again, Entente Nord Lozère does not hide its ambitions

L’équipe première compte notamment jouer le haut du tableau en Régional 2, elle qui était si proche de monter en Régional 1 à l’issue de l’exercice précédent.

It's back to work for the Entente Nord Lozère club! After a busy 2023-2024 season for the three senior teams. After finishing the season just one small step away from the title and promotion to Regional 1, the ENL (R2) team 1 intends to play at the top of the table again this year, even if the level is likely to be even higher with the relegation of many teams from the higher level. As always, the championship remains the main objective. The Lozériens have gained maturity and do not want to repeat the same mistakes as last season, especially in the middle of the season by stupidly not giving any points to their opponents.

As for the reserve team (D1) and team 3 (D3), after having respectively finished at the top of the table and managed to stay up the previous season, the objective remains the same: to go for the top of the table again and stay up, and why not get a result in the departmental cup.

The Énélistes began their preparation period in July with individual sessions to keep up the pace. They then all got together in August for several physical and tactical preparation sessions. The Lozériens also played several friendly matches to get back into the swing of things and get back into the swing of things before getting serious at the start of the school year, in top form.

Changes in the staff

“We had a good preparation phase on the physical level. I am happy with the entire senior group, declares coach Lilian Condon. The results were visible from the first match of the Coupe de France and I hope that they will continue to bear fruit during the first weeks which promise to be tough."

For this resumption, the club has decided to maintain a course that is close to its heart and to rely on its local players. Despite the departure of certain central elements in the squad such as Mathis Mazaudier, who is joining Puy Foot 43, or Joris Auriant, the senior teams will be able to count on the rise of the club's young players who are joining the group. Enough to bring freshness and dynamism to the squad. "This will help to stimulate the veterans and force the entire team to question itself."

Changes are also to be noted regarding the supervisors. While team 1 is still led by Lilian Condon and team 2 by Jean-Christophe Rousset, team 3 will be taken over this year by Julien Dujardin and Lionel Barret.
