Football: Vauvert – Beaucaire in the Coupe de France, betting is open

Dimanche 29 septembre, à l’occasion du 4e tour de Coupe de France, Vauvert, leader en Régional 1, reçoit Beaucaire, 11e de National 3. Le duel s’annonce prometteur.

''Even if I think that between the R1 and the N3, there is still a small gap, on a match like that, it does not exist, warns the president of Beaucaire, Xavier Mouret, before going to Vauvert. We know what awaits us against a team that will put in commitment. There would be no excuse for being surprised.''

Between a 1st in R1 (FCV) and an 11th in N3 (Stade), there will probably not be the Longchamp straight line in terms of superiority. ''There, a level of difference, it's not something that will make the difference, everything will be leveled'', confirms the coach of the Stade Sofyan Carletta.

''We are a R1 which receives a N3. It's not like when we were in PHB…''

Opinion shared by his counterpart from Vauvert, Nabil Hammouch: ''Today, we are a R1 team hosting a N3 team. It's not like when we were in the PHB. We are happy that it is at home. It will be a battle and we will respond on the pitch. If, tomorrow, we host a L2 team, it will be something else but, here, while respecting Beaucaire, a N3 team against a R1 team…''

If the outcome of the match remains uncertain, we know that the atmosphere, on the other hand, will be there in the stands of Radyelevitch. ''It could be the match of the season for them, notes Mouret. Like last year when they played Nîmes Olympique (elimination 1-4 in the 6th round, Editor's note), they want to relive that.''

Two very friendly clubs

Full of confidence, the partners of the ex-Beaucairois Abbaoui have a real shot at playing. Even if, on paper, Beaucaire remains the favorite.

“We shouldn't expect N3 players to come to a R1 player quietly. They can raise their level and be at 100%”, don't forget Hammouch who specifies: ''Even if there is a match to play, we will remain very good friends, afterwards. When we needed advice, Xavier (Mouret) or Sofyan (Carletta) were always there.''

Carletta's men will have to be there to get through: ''We're going without putting ourselves under pressure. It's a competition that must be respected, but at the moment there are other priorities.''
