After two years of being held remotely, the Fly Fishing Festival (PALM) presented by Saumon Québec is once again moving to the four corners of La Belle Province. Enthusiasts, film buffs and nature lovers will be able to watch a superb selection of films on the subject. Everything will be accompanied by a sustained animation. WE WANT DATES

On July 20, 1969, conversations between astronaut Neil Armstrong and NASA could be heard coming directly from the Moon. It is quite surprising to realize that 54 years later, with all the modern scientific tools available to them and with all the technological progress in terms of communication and information sharing, the stakeholders of the Ministry of the Environment, from the Fight Against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks are still unable to give us the opening dates of the various fishing seasons so that we can plan our activities. 

The minister should establish an annual deadline, in December, to publish all the dates and thus satisfy permit buyers, outfitters, zecs, etc.

The 17th virtual auction of the Quebec Wildlife Foundation will take place from February 6 to 23. The profits are invested in the Pêche en herbe program, which offers support to organizations throughout Quebec for the realization of initiation activities to sport fishing for young people from 6 to 17 years old. This weekend, on Saturdays and Sundays until March 5 as well as during the spring break from February 27 to March 3, it will be possible to fish without a provincial license on the territory of the community wildlife area (AFC) of Lake Saint-Pierre. 

The authorization to fish from the AFC, for its part, will be free on weekends and from February 27 to February 3 ;March. There will also be educational clinics every weekend from the Lac Saint-Pierre Fishing Academy and promotions of all kinds. Afclacst-pierre.org.
