La cérémonie du 14-Juillet a été l’occasion pour le maire de Bagnols-sur-Cèze Jean-Yves Chapelet de faire un discours politique, en référence notamment à la bi nationalité, en présence de la députée RN Pascale Bordes.

A week after the second round of the legislative elections, at the end of which the RN candidate Pascale Bordes was re-elected, the mayor of Bagnols-sur-Cèze gave a political speech during the July 14 ceremony at Square Thome . In the presence of the National Rally MP, Jean-Yves Chapelet in fact referred to the controversy over the question of dual nationality which had arisen during the campaign.

"I only have friends here who are shaping the Republic […] whether they were born in France or whether they were born in France or not. rsquo;they chose it and who now carry its nationality in their identity and in their hearts". By evoking the troubles which shake the ’ assembly, "at the time of the young guns and the very agitated deputies", the first councilor recalled that &amp ;quot;the mayor is there, at your service, far from national agendas and party divisions" also emphasizing that' "he is the one who defends secularism in all places so that faith never becomes the law".

Three decorated personalities

During this ceremony, where wreaths were laid by municipal elected officials on the one hand and the MP on the other, three men were distinguished for their commitment to their territory& nbsp;: Marco Lucca, ex-boss of the Lucca group, Jean-François Chabert, president of the Cave des 4 chemins, and Jean-Claude Mougenot, president of Veterans Affairs.
