For the weekend of August 15, numerous traffic jams are expected on the A9 around Montpellier.

Whether heading towards Spain or Nîmes, traffic will be difficult in both directions near Montpellier, starting this Friday, August 16 and until Monday, August 19.

During the long weekend of August 15, French motorways will be particularly impacted by slowdowns. Vinci predicts very heavy traffic around the Mediterranean, especially in the return direction. Zoom on the A9, near Montpellier.

Slowdowns towards Nîmes

Difficulties are expected from Montpellier to Nîmes:

Friday between 10am and 9pm, Saturday between 9am and 8pm, Sunday between 10am and 11pm, Monday between 10am and 7pm.

Very heavy traffic is also expected between Nîmes and Montpellier:

Friday between 9am and 7pm, Saturday between 6am and 6pm, Sunday between 9am and 5pm, Monday between 9am and 3pm.

Heavy traffic on the A9 from the Spanish border

For holidaymakers returning from Spain, peak traffic on the A9 motorway is expected:

Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 8pm, Monday from 10am to 6pm.

In the other direction, difficulties are expected:

Friday from 10am to 1pm, Saturday from 9am to 6pm, Sunday from 10am to 7pm, Monday from 10am to 6pm.
