Four childhood friends preside over the destiny of CrossFit Agde

Renaud Anthérieu, Andy Roux, Nicolas Boutier and Gaultier Devaux-Guimet have been partners for a year.

It is on the 7-Fonts industrial zone, in the very place where Teddy Fatet popularized CrossFit in Agde, that four thirty-somethings from Agde took up the torch a year ago now.

Four friends with different profiles

Four childhood friends with different profiles – Renaud Anthérieu is a sports coach and runs the “box” on a daily basis, Andy Roux is a salesperson, Nicolas Boutier is an accountant and Gaultier Devaux-Guimet is in the police force – and different sporting backgrounds, but who have long wanted to join forces in a business that suits them well. “We had heard about the sale of this room, we had the opportunity and we launched”, Renaud explains simply, who says he is “satisfied” with this first year of operation. “The number of subscribers has gone up and above all, the feedback from members is good. For us, it's essential."

Seniors and teenagers also have their niche

Here, effort and work are the basis of all progress. Fun and varied, CrossFit remains no less demanding, even if it now tends to open up to different audiences. “We are offering two new features this fall since we are creating a senior group for those over 55 and a group for teenagers aged 12 to 16”, adds the coach, who spares no effort and encourages members who do not come to laze around, that's an understatement.

“No mirrors or ego”

However, we are here in a room where the atmosphere is very far from certain places where appearance and appearance are erected in dogma.“No mirrors or egos, just work and pleasure” is written on the company's Facebook page, like a warning to the “kékés” of the cast ! “We wanted a room that reflected our image, friendly, where we have a good time”, appreciates Renaud, who can still accommodate a few people in his classes.
