The Hérault prefecture ordered, this Friday, September 6, the administrative closure of three new establishments for periods ranging from 7 days to 2 months.
The Hérault prefect has banged his fist on the table again. In his firm policy regarding establishments that open at night, he has just sanctioned three new grocery stores this Friday, September 6.
The highest penalty goes to the grocery store “Sucré-salé”, located on rue d’Oxford, Mosson district for fraudulent possession of tobacco for resale as a repeat offender. The store will have to remain closed for 2 months.
Repeat offenses are expensive
It will be 45 days of closure for “Bela épicerie” located on rue Eurydice, in the Celleneuve district. Here too, the police discovered fraudulent possession of tobacco for resale but also undeclared work.

Finally, the grocery store “Le Bazille” located rue Frédéric Bazille, in the train station district, was sentenced to seven days of closure for late closing.
Two other grocery stores closed on September 3
On Tuesday, September 3, the prefect ordered the grocery store “Market 18” located on Boulevard Pasteur in the city center to close for 7 days for failure to comply with closing times.
And the grocery store “La Tour” located on Rue du Grau in the Saint-Martin district to close for one month for a repeat offense of failure to comply with closing times.
