Quebec is indefinitely extending free tolls on highways 25 and 30, in the Montreal region, for owners of electric vehicles.

Since the start of the pilot project, the number of electric vehicle passages at these tolls has doubled annually, from 157,000 in 2016 to 344,000 in 2017, and from 642,000 in 2018 to 1.1 million in 2019, indicates the government.
