French international Wissam Ben Yedder targeted by two complaints of rape, an investigation has been opened

An investigation has been opened for sexual assault and rape against AS Monaco striker Wissam Ben Yedder and his younger brother. Two young women aged 19 and 20 accuse the siblings of forcing them to perform sexual acts on the evening of Monday 10 July.
The public prosecutor of Nice, Xavier Bonhomme, announced "the existence of two complaints for rape, and two victims, targeting two people", including the French international (19 caps, 3 goals) for acts that "were allegedly committed Monday in Beausoleil", a town in the Alpes-Maritimes department, confirming initial information from France Info.
No police custody for the moment
According to our colleagues, the two complainants, aged 19 and 20 years old, accuse the 32-year-old footballer and his younger brother aged 25 of forcing them to have sex. The investigation is ongoing and no police custody has taken place for the moment.
Wissam Ben Yedder currently plays for AS Monaco. Having played for Toulouse and Sevilla, the centre-forward scored 19 goals in Ligue 1 during the 2022-2023 season.
