Gard rhodanien: a meeting to find out everything about work-study programs and apprenticeships in Bagnols-sur-Cèze

The Gard rhodanien Uzège local mission and France Travail are organizing the second edition of the May of Apprenticeship, Wednesday May 22, at the multicultural hall of Bagnols-sur-Cèze. Twenty-six training centers from Occitanie will be present.

The directors of the Gard rhodanien Uzège local youth mission and the France Travail agency in Bagnols-sur-Cèze announce that their teams are working together again for the organization of the May of Apprenticeship, a meeting -you "to find out everything about alternation and apprenticeship". The first edition, last year, was a success with some 800 visitors, bringing together employers, representatives of training organizations and people who wish to train.
The second edition will take place on Wednesday May 22 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Bagnols multicultural room, on loan from the municipality. "This meeting is aimed at all those who are curious, who wonder about learning. Which professions are affected ? Will I have to return to class ? How much is paid ? What am I allowed to do? do ? Employers can also ask questions and are welcome. Let them come and meet the training organizations!", invites Frédéric Combernous, director of the Local Youth Mission. The IOC (information and orientation center) will also have a stand.

All professional sectors represented

Young people looking for training ideas and/or employers will have a wide range of choices: twenty-six training organizations from across the Occitanie region will be present. "There is a great diversity of services and offers" specifies Marie-Claude Tuffery, director of the France Travail agency. Work-study programs today concern nearly 400 professions. So, during this May of apprenticeship, many sectors will be represented: construction trades, hospitality, industry, sports professions, catering professions , etc. France Travail and the local Mission will share a stand, with advisors. Young people will be able to ask all their questions, submit their CV, find out about mobility issues…
Apprenticeship, "it’is more than a mode of training, it’is a job, a way of evolving" , insists Frédéric Combernous. "It’is also an important lever for action in the territory", complete Marie-Claude Tuffery.
"There is a better image of learning, of alternation. It’s important that CFAs can present all of this, that companies can discuss offers with young people. So that everyone can find the right information. So that whoever commits goes to the end. So that there is no abandonment, it is a matter of properly securing everyone's route when entering this route."
