“Broken Perspective” – collective Pomme de boue

Exhibition. The artist duo Pomme de Boue invokes issues common to the history of art and architecture such as those of forms, the arrangement of colors, the relationships of scales and plans. Since 2018, they have been investing public space with their abstract and geometric mosaics. First in Kyiv (Ukraine), they now live and work in Montpellier since 2022.

Tribute to Alain Delon

Cinema. At 2 p.m., “The Leopard” (3h05, VOST) by Luchino Visconti, with Claudia Cardinale, Alain Delon, Burt Lancaster. In 1860, while Sicily is overwhelmed by the upheavals of Garibaldi and his Red Shirts, Prince Salina goes with his entire family to his residence in Donnafugata.

At 6pm, “The Samurai” (1h45) by Jean-Pierre Melville, with Alain Delon, François Périer, Nathalie Delon. Jef Costello, known as the Samurai, is a hitman. As he leaves the office where Martey's corpse, his latest target, lies, he meets the club's pianist, Valérie.

At 8:30 p.m., “Rocco and His Brothers” (2h57, VOST) by Luchino Visconti, with Alain Delon, Annie Girardot, Renato Salvatori. Fleeing the poverty she has fallen into since she was widowed, Rosaria moves to Milan. Rocco and Simone, two of her sons, quickly find work and develop a passion for boxing.

Festivities. This Saturday: at 4pm, historical reenactment and parades, Esplanade du Peyrou; at 6pm, parade, Place de la Comédie; at 7:30pm, public ball and musical evening, Esplanade du Peyrou. Sunday: at 9am, historical reenactment and parades, Esplanade du Peyrou.

Organ Festival: Pierre Seyte

Concert. Co-titular organist of the Saint-Pierre Cathedral in Montpellier, Pierre Seyte is first and foremost an aeronautical engineer and has worked for several years at Airbus in Toulouse. On the program: Guilmant, Vaughan Williams, Mendelssohn, Delibes and Dupré.
