Goodbye to the fountain on the esplanade in Montpellier!

The work of the Comédie in Montpellier will especially be shifted to the esplanade in this new year. Also with the launch of the renovation of the Bosc kiosk. 

Work on the Comédie and the Charles-de-Gaulle esplanade continues with the new year. If, on the square, the trees having been planted, the work will be less and will only concern the renovation of the soils, it is on “l’Espla” that the machines will gain power. At the start of the week, the fountain as we knew it was reduced to rubble. It will make way for a “water gate”, in this case a fountain in the form of jets over 200 m, like that of the Place du Numéro-d& ;rsquo;Or. It should be delivered this summer 2024. 

This week also begins the preparatory work for the renovation of the Bosc kiosk. They will last a year. The chess tables will be moved during the work and will return to their place at the end of the work.
