The British company EasyJet is launching a new offer, reserved for the English for the moment, to allow seniors to travel for free with their family.
The British low-cost airline EasyJet has decided to launch a new offer, according to The Guardian. Entitled "Grans go free" (“Grandparents travel for free”), as its name suggests, it allows seniors to travel without paying to certain destinations abroad.
This initiative was born following a survey of 2,000 British adults, cited by The Guardian. The study found that more than half of those surveyed (56%) regretted not spending more time with their grandparents and 54% of them hoped to take them on vacation to the future.
Encourage to travel
The offer, for Brits only at the moment, allows one grandparent to travel for free to countries such as Spain , Greece and Italy. The idea is to encourage English people to go on holiday with three or more generations of their family.
The Director of Operations, EasyJet Holidays, told The Guardian that ;he wanted "to pay homage to the grandparents".
Under what conditions ?
The offer began on February 1, 2024. It is reserved for a limited number of customers. EasyJet Holidays has indicated that additional seats will also be available next Monday.
To benefit from this offer, the grandparent must be traveling as part of a family reservation with at least one child. Proof of age and relationship will be requested upon arrival at the destination hotel, detail our British colleagues.
