This Vietnamese sandwich served in a bread surprises more than one!
Following the French colonization of Vietnam, the baguette remained a must in Vietnam. Prepared with wheat flour and rice flour, this crunchy sandwich bread is then topped with grilled meat marinated in an oyster sauce, fish and other traditional spices. Usually topped with pickled vegetables and a little spicy mayonnaise, this Vietnamese sandwich is exceptional. For more texture, add fried shallots at the very end!!!
