Handball: for its first at Parnasse, Usam wants to have fun against Créteil

This Friday, September 20, at 8 p.m., Usam Nîmes (8th, 2 points) begins its Starligue at home by hosting Créteil (6th, 2 points) as part of the 3rd day of the championship. Impatient.

Starting your championship season with two trips is not commonplace. After visits to the capital where, to put it simply, it lost where it had to lose (at PSG, 33-36) and won where it had to win (at Ivry, 31-28), Usam Nîmes will finally start its Starligue at home, in its infernal Parnasse.

In the series: “Which Île-de-France team will I face ?”, this time it is Créteil that is proposed to the Green team.

Créteil has just left Chambéry at 4 goals…

Of course, USC remains in 14th place in D1. But the Créteil team is above all coming off a truly great home win against Chambéry (33-29), after only losing by one goal (25-26) to Aix.

''For me, Créteil is a team that could be the surprise of the championship, underlines, moreover, the coach of Usam, David Degouy. On Friday, I expect a liberated team, which will give its all. At home, Nîmes knows that it will be able to count on its 8th man. And then, the David Degouy touch is having more and more of an effect: ''Yes, it's starting to take shape because the guys are working well, agrees the interested party. Degouy affirms it: ''Every Monday, whatever happens the Friday or Saturday before, we have to start again, there is a match that will await us, that is our reality. It must be our quality, this ability to start again. We are lucky that this is our job, it is up to us to do the job well.''
