Handball: Frontignan gets back into rhythm with a match against Montpellier HB

Asier Antonio's men host the MHB this Tuesday, January 16, at 7 p.m. at the Ferrari gymnasium.

Deprived of a room for three days, due to the wishes of the mayor, the Frontignan handball players took advantage of the situation. On Wednesday, they were in Poussan, the next day in Loupian to finish on Friday in Montpellier with a joint training session with the MHB. "This allowed us to tour the city and regain the intensity," declares Benjamin Curabet. "Some young people from the Montpellier training center wanted to show that they could join us next year. And the opposition with the pros also did us good."

In the project

A "win-win" formula for both clubs. "It’is in our initial project, to use the resources available in the territory", continues the general director of the FTHB. "It allows us to build relationships. It’s good for the MHB too, because we offer them an opposition that they don’t know. Everyone was delighted with this exchange, perhaps we should do this more often."

In the meantime, the two clubs will meet this Tuesday evening at Ferrari for a friendly match. "It’s a great poster, even if the internationals will be missing. Our last match was on December 16 and we need to get back on track. And then it’s more interesting than playing against an N1."

Still in its preparation phase, Frontignan Thau Handball will go to Cournon (Proligue) on Friday, then host Chambéry (Starligue) on January 27. Resumption of the Proligue on February 3, in Sélestat.
