The Caennais, who had not yet lost this season, quickly realized this, victims of an offensive tidal wave in the first half with 26 goals conceded. « That's a lot, I didn't realize it before watching the match», declared Guillaume Crépain. «  On the fast game, we are getting close to the very high level. However, I plan to improve this sector further, because some teams will try to adapt. »

On the other side of the field, things are not bad either. «  When talking to the players, I always see the glass as half empty », continues the Frontignan coach. « But if I were less demanding, they would blame me. Defensively, I told myself that we weren't great, but in fact the level was very good. Caen scored a lot from afar because they were lucky. Without that, we could have opened up a bigger gap. And we concede a lot of goals because we attack quickly and therefore give our opponents a lot of ammunition. What I see is that we made 25 neutralizations and we suffered less than 15. These are figures that allow a team to consider a very good place… »

Boss size

With a top-class Lignières (8/8 shooting and not just on easy shots), effective wingers, hyperactive pivots and a Pages in magnificent relay from Diot, the FTHB is in its boss size costume. The next two tests, in Dijon and Billère, will also be revealing. «  It would be good to take one out of two. We can then say that we have had a very good start to the season.
