Handball: the favorite on its knees against Frontignan

The “Black and Gold” outclassed a Saran team with big ambitions (32-24) this Friday, September 6. The season starts strong at Ferrari.

From the start, the FTHB opposed the big Saran players with a great defensive intensity, allowing Isnard to conclude on the counter (3-1). Lignières also took advantage (5-2), followed again by Isnard (7-3). Frontignan, with this quick break, had just taken the lead.

Incredible defense

Saran, after a penalty stopped by Matovic, regained some colour and got back to 8-7 thanks in particular to Accambray who weighed on the defence. But then, Camara found the target with a penalty, then Tesio in the air, and the supporters could breathe again (10-7). The gap grew with an extraordinary roucoulette from Camara then a powerful goal from Pelegrin (14-10), but the best was yet to come…

When Suholeznik scored their 11th goal, the Saranais were far from suspecting that it was their last before the break. While Gaillard raised the tone in attack, Diot made the thermometer explode in the stands by systematically pushing back the opponent's shots… for ten minutes! Unbelievable.

No respect

After the break (18-11), the FTHB did not weaken. And its goalkeepers even less. Diot, alone against Suholeznik, added another feat to his long list of the day (24-18). And Pages even stole the show at the end of the match by repelling no less than three penalties! The evening was exceptional, but some still wanted more, like Dambreville who sent a kung-fu to Delrives in the middle of the defense (30-22). These youngsters really have no respect.
