This Saturday June 8 and Sunday June 9, the Roseraie du Cade is hosting a wellness fair…in the garden.

The idea took a long time to hatch. But now, 4 years ago, Chantal and Albrecht Von Braun opened the Roseraie du Cade, in Lacoste, on an old vineyard plot. The park, a floral haven of peace in the heart of a quiet scrubland, "is the only rose garden in the department open to the public", smiles Chantal. Imagined in a landscaped garden which aims to cultivate well-being as much as superb varieties of roses (nearly 500), the garden is hosting, this Saturday June 8 and Sunday June 9, meetings on the theme “Happiness is in the rose garden”.

A flower full of surprises

As obvious for the former winemaker who confides that she met the rose "at a difficult moment in our lives, and it kept me going . The rose refocuses us, it tells us a lot about ourselves, it soothes", modestly confides the farmer. And in the rose garden, the paths which circulate freely between the flower plants and the remarkable trees, such as this more than century-old cade, also invite an inner journey, an introspection which is gently imposed. At the heart of the plantation, every morning, the couple picks petals, immediately distilled in the house still. Floral waters of Damask and Gallic roses bloom in turn, "precious allies" full of virtues. A flower of love that has many surprises in store. Like this rose jam, a gourmet experience as unexpected as it is tasty. Enough, already, to do yourself good, starting with breakfast…

Happiness is in the rose garden: Conferences on Chinese medicine with Jonathan Masi, on art therapy with Coralie David-Poirot, on chronic ailments with Esther Drost, on reflexology with MĂ©lanie Despujols… Workshops, round tables, creators, producers and on-site catering.
