He finds his dog killed in his goat pen: this young 19-year-old breeder calls for witnesses to find the culprit

Ce vendredi 24 mai 2024, Bastien a retrouvé son chien de deux ans criblé de balles, en Alpes-Maritimes. Ce jeune homme de 19 ans avait adopté le berger d’Anatolie en octobre dernier, peu de temps avant de lancer son élevage de chèvres.

Anger, grief and incomprehension. Friday May 24, 2024, Bastien, a young breeder from Caille (Alpes-Maritimes), found his Anatolian shepherd, named Sabor, riddled with bullets in the middle of his field. The young man announced his death in a Facebook post, putting himself in the place of the animal: "I thought I had to defend my flock against the wolf, I never would have imagined that a human being could take my life!"

He then concludes his message with a call for witnesses: "Please provide us with any information that we could use.< /em>

At just two years old, the goat herd guardian was far from being an ordinary protection dog. It was a love, he was even more attached to humans than to his livestock", regrets Bastien to our colleagues from Nice morning .

While the breeder began his activity last December, he adopted Sabor in October. The herd was a good distance from homes and the young man had no problems with anyone. For him, nothing can justify shooting his dog several times in the head.

Investigation in progress

The first neighborhood investigation carried out by the Séranon gendarmerie brigade yielded nothing, but the search continues to find the culprit and determine the circumstances of the death of the Anatolian shepherd.
