When he arrived, he tried to negotiate the abandonment of the animals, but failed. He has to wait until Saturday morning to return with the Roubaix judicial police, who finally seize the animals in a small, unsanitary dwelling.

The young man then tries to justify himself and explains that he reacted under the influence of "stress" fearing that the cat would want to kill one of her unhealthy kittens. "I did something stupid, I acted violently […], but all I wanted was to save the babies", he assured. But, in the video excerpts of the live, he clearly seems overwhelmed by the situation and by the cat's attitude towards her kittens.

A complaint filed

The GIPA association has since filed a complaint for an act of cruelty to animals, a crime punishable by five years in prison and a fine of 45,000 euros. The TikToker will be summoned to court at a later date. “Until he is in custody, he will not understand what he is doing to his animals, he does not seem to be aware of the seriousness of his actions”, says Gilles Obin.

In the meantime, he took care of the cat and her five kittens, who were dehydrated. One of the kittens, weighing only 50 grams, is still in critical condition. “The cat is psychologically and physically affected, she was completely prostrate and has health problems”, he says after a visit to the vet.
