He was 24, she was 13: the investigating judge has completed his investigation in the case of former swimmer Yannick Agnel

Alors que le Nîmois Yannick Agnel est mis en examen pour viol et agression sexuelle sur mineure de 15 ans, le juge d'instruction a indiqué aux parties qu'il avait terminé son enquête.

The investigation into rape and sexual assault of a minor, targeting Nîmes Yannick Agnel, is now complete. Two and a half years after the start of the investigation, the investigating judge sent his notice of end of judicial investigation last week, indicates RTL. Lawyers now have 15 days to request possible additional documents. The prosecutor will then have to deliver his final indictment, before a possible trial, in a few months.

13 and 24 years old at the time of the events

The daughter of Lionel Horter, the swimmer's former coach, is the only victim retained by the investigating judge. During his police custody, Yannick Agnel admitted to having had an affair with the young girl in 2016. The latter nevertheless denied any coercion. The victim and Agnel were respectively 13 and 24 years old at the time of the events. 

In January 2023, the swimmer had also been heard for another case of sexual assault on a minor. He then escaped indictment and was placed under the status of assisted witness.
