The man was taken care of by the firefighters Monday evening around 4 p.m. 30"while he had significant burns following an explosion", said the Pnat. In his hotel room near Paris, according to two sources close to the matter, "products and materials intended for the manufacture of explosive devices&quot were found ;, added Pnat. One of them having exploded. The hotel had to be evacuated.

The explosives were designed using an old method which consists of connecting them to a telephone to trigger them with a telephone call, confirm sources at BFMTV. Several passports were found on site.

An open investigation

According to France Info, the national anti-terrorism prosecution announces the’ opening of an investigation, for "participation in a terrorist criminal association with a view to preparing crimes of attacks against people", and for "possession of incendiary or explosive substances or products or elements intended to compose an incendiary or explosive device, with a view to preparing a destruction, damage or harm to persons, in connection with a terrorist enterprise.

The Pnat specifies that the investigation is entrusted to the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI).
