Health at work: Recov’Up, a tailor-made application to relieve pain

Tell me where it hurts, I'll tell you what to do to relieve your pain. Back pain, tendonitis, neck pain, sprains… The list of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) is as long as a Prévert list, minus the poetry. The same goes for psychosocial risks (PSRs).

With 40% of job losses linked to MSDs and 39% to RPS, according to a survey carried out in Occitanie, AIPALS, which has specialized in occupational health and professional risks in the greater Montpellier area for over 70 years, has just signed a partnership with Recov’Up, to offer an occupational health application to its 4,000 member companies and their 42,000 employees.

How it works?

Welcome to the world of artificial intelligence. Download the app, enter your company code, and choose what you need from the three dedicated spaces: well-being, care, capacity assessment.

It all starts with recommendations, in the form of audio and video content, on physical, mental and work health. To personalize this content, answer a questionnaire. Artificial intelligence then comes into play to offer 100% personalized exercise programs. Third part: tests to find out where you are in terms of mobility, strength and balance, followed by an assessment.

Reduce health problems

The app offers, you have. Whatever your problem, the process follows the same logic: recommendations, advice and exercises. The care space diagnoses your pain before offering you exercises designed by health and occupational prevention professionals. The app is also recognized by the National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products.

"The application is much more than a tool, it is a real health partner, which easily integrates into the daily routine of each worker", explains its founder, Medhi Roudesli, who is also a sports doctor. And to finish feeling better: the employer does not have access to the content viewed by the employee.

And if, despite the program that is offered to you, relief is not there, you are not alone. "There is a double level of monitoring, that of the application and that of the health professionals registered by the employee. We then adapt the program", he adds.
