La Préfecture de l’Hérault appelle à la vigilance pour ce mardi 30 juillet. Les températures annoncées par Météo France devraient localement flirter avec les 40°C.
A heatwave has been affecting a large southern half of the country since this weekend. And it has not spared Hérault, particularly the Montpellier region. The specialist website infoclimat.fr – which bases its readings on data from official bodies and its own weather stations – recorded up to 38.5 °C near Ganges, 34 °C near Saint-Clément-de-Rivière and Prades-le-Lez, and over 38 °C in Aniane.
Up to 39 °C expected this Tuesday
The department has been placed on orange alert by Météo France. A vigilance maintained for this Tuesday all day, since the mercury is expected to remain very high. 34 °C are announced in Montpellier and on the coast, 37 °C at the foot of the Pic Saint-Loup and up to 38 °C on the side of the Hérault valley and Lodévois.
