Henri-Labonne Street closed until June 8

Until June 8, Rue Henri-Labonne will remain closed to traffic, between Godin Road and Poisson Street.
C ette closure is to finalize the construction of the roundabout at the intersection of the future boulevard René-Lévesque, announces the City of Sherbrooke. During this work, motorists are invited to take a detour via Godin Road and Joyal Street.

Remember that the third and final section of René-Lévesque Boulevard will link the roundabout at Henri-Labonne Street to Bourque Boulevard, at rue du Haut-Bois.

Last April, we learned that the 900-meter section could only be inaugurated in 2020.

This week, the City of Sherbrooke is launching three new projects on its territory, bringing to 19 the number of ongoing projects.

Reconstruction of underground infrastructure and roadway on Robert Street, between rue Albéric-Dussault and the end (concrete curbs and finishing of the grounds). New sidewalks will be created on Simard Street, between Lachance and Des Sables Streets and between Montfort and Bellefleur Streets.

In addition, we completed the construction of the rue du Dépôt where we removed the central island.

Major works planned and in progress this year can be viewed on the new interactive map available at sherbrooke.ca/travaux.
