Head to Square Sir-George-Étienne-Cartier, in the Saint-Henri district, from February 3 to 5 for the first edition of Montréal Boréal: Le Jam du Nord. On the program: musical performances by emerging Montreal artists on two outdoor stages, including Choses Sauvages, Lysandre, Naomi, Guillaume Michaud and Émile Bourgeault, dancing atmosphere, light projections, hot drinks, mascots and pop-up shop.

Montreal in lights
The 24th edition of Montréal en lumière promises, once again, to thrill the Quartier des Spectacles and its 500,000 annual festival-goers. Arts, gastronomy, outdoor family activities and light installations, in addition to shows like Riopelle Symphonique, Bedouin Soundclash, 1969 Live and Passe-Partout. Without forgetting the famous Nuit Blanche (February 25) offering original outdoor and indoor discoveries (museums, restaurants, entertainment) from dusk to dawn.

Dômesicle evenings at the SAT
There's nothing like the immersive evenings under the dome of the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT). Domesicle parties are back with DJ performances enhanced by projections sliding over the dome, 360 degrees.

The Montreal International Children's Film Festival (FIFEM)
We go as a family to the Beaubien cinema to take part in the 26th edition of FIFEM and watch one or more films of the 75 films from more than 20 countries presented. Too cold outside? A fine international selection of films for the whole family that are part of the festival can also be found online. The movie Coco Ferme– 25th film in the collection Les Contes pour Tous – will be presented in preview on Sunday February 19.

Igloofest Montreal
Until February 11, we dress warmly and we go dancing at the Quai Jacques-Cartier in the Old Port of Montreal to the electronic music of the great local and international DJs invited to the 15th edition of Igloofest Montreal (including the celebrates Dj Tiesto on February 10). The atmosphere is always exciting and the festival-goers are simply crazy about the music. Saturday afternoon, place at the Igloofête for free family music, starting at 1 p.m.

Quebec Carnival
Do we still need to present this famous celebration of winter in the Old Capital? The Carnaval de Québec is celebrating its 69th birthday this year and there is no shortage of activities to highlight the event. Visit of the famous Bonhomme Palace, night parades, Franco, New Country, Hip-Hop and Electro Frette evenings, sculptures and major shows including Ariane Moffat, Koriass and Matt Lang.

Monsters, martyrs and skies: these are the themes of the 24th edition of Mois Multi (international festival of multidisciplinary and electronic arts) which returns in its regular format. Nice section for young audiences offered.
