He installs cameras disguised as smoke detectors

It all starts in March 2023. Roby Johnson notices that his coffee has changed in taste. As time passes, he suspects his wife of having changed something in the preparation and decides to place cameras disguised as smoke detectors in his house: in the laundry room and above the coffee machine, precise CNN.

Viewing the images captured by the small devices, he quickly realizes that his wife is pouring bleach into his daily coffee. To verify what he saw, he tests the drink with the test strips that he uses for his swimming pool. Coffee does indeed contain chlorine.

The couple going through a divorce

Accused of attempted murder, his wife finally confesses and pleads guilty before a judge for "adding poison or harmful substance to a food or drink". Unable to post bail to remain free before her trial, she waited a year in detention for her trial.

Her husband was divorcing at the time of the trial, and did not want the forty-year-old to be imprisoned. Hearing her wish, the judge sentenced the culprit to three years of probation.
