The serious accident occurred at around 10 a.m. this Monday, September 30 in the Chalamelle joint agricultural exploitation group (Gaec), located in Chambéon in the Loire, reports the Progrès.
A rescue team called
A 17-year-old boy was hit by a corn wrapper and his leg got stuck in the agricultural machine. The intervention mobilized nearly twenty firefighters and a specialized team.
Faced with the resistance of the agricultural machine, an extrication team had to be called. Using a saw and a grinder, rescuers managed to remove the young man's leg from the corn winder after almost 2 hours, reports Pays< /em>.
Airlifted to the hospital
Although the circumstances of the accident are not yet known, the teenager's right leg was apparently caught by the machine, which fractured it.
