A large-scale arrest operation was launched this Thursday, August 29 in Nîmes in an area that has not been revealed at this stage. However, the operations carried out by the judicial police reportedly led to the arrest of several suspects and, above all, a record seizure of cocaine. According to our information, the quantities seized could reach around forty kilos of cocaine, which would constitute a historic seizure of coke. Five or six people were reportedly arrested and taken into custody as part of this investigation led by the narcotics squad of the Montpellier and Nîmes judicial police.

The Nîmes prosecutor confirms a cocaine seizure

This Friday evening, Cécile Gensac, the Nîmes public prosecutor, confirmed that a cocaine seizure had been made and that the investigation was indeed supervised by the Nîmes public prosecutor's office. The anti-narcotics office is said to have participated in this vast operation, which was conducted in the greatest secrecy. The arrests are said to have taken place in a neighborhood outside the city. Some suspects are said to be from Nîmes, while others may be living in Bouches-du-Rhône.
