Hockey: Emil Heineman to the rescue of the Rocket

; DAY

Emil Heineman doesn't seem to have trouble adapting to North American rinks. He scored twice to propel the Laval Rocket to a 6-3 victory over the Manitoba Moose on Tuesday at the Canada Life Centre.

After concluding his campaign with Leksands IF, in the Swedish first division, the one who was acquired in the transaction sending Tyler Toffoli to the Calgary Flames quickly took his place with the Laval formation.

Thanks to his two successes in the duel of the day, he took his total to four goals in as many professional games in North America.

Each time, the Finnish winger hit the target in the enclave, well positioned in front of Oskari Salminen's goal.

Second scorer for the Rocket, Joël Teasdale also threaded the needle with two re taken, notably scoring the first goal of the match. He has 23 goals in 52 games this season.

Pierrick Dubé and Jan Mysak, in an empty net, completed the scoring for Jean-François Houle's men.

Jansen Harkins , Tyler Boland and Parker Ford provided the response for the Moose.

With this second straight victory, the Rocket temporarily overtook the Cleveland Monsters for fifth place in the North Division. The latter, however, have three games in hand against the Montreal Canadiens.

The Rocket can count on the services of Cayden Primeau, demoted Tuesday night, when he visits the Rockford IceHogs on Friday.
