How to find a summer job easily: 2,500 jobs offered, 80 employers for well-prepared young people

The major recruitment operation is organized on Wednesday April 3 in Montpellier. But so that young Hérault residents have every chance on their side, they can be supported in their efforts on Wednesday March 27.

When you're young, finding a summer job isn't always easy. So to put people offering seasonal jobs in contact with young people looking for jobs, a major recruitment operation "Summer Jobs Day" is organized. So if you are 17 and over, this event may interest you.

2 500 positions offered

Like every year, the CRIJ Occitanie in Montpellier – the resource and information center for young people – is organizing this recruitment day for seasonal jobs in partnership with France Travail, the City and Metropolis of Montpellier, the Local Youth Mission and the Crous.

During this event, which will take place on Wednesday April 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the town hall of Montpellier, 80 employers will be present and some 2 500 positions will be offered.

As part of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, highlights will even be organized around the animation and sports professions with the support of the SDJES, Creps de Montpellier and Hérault Sport.

A day of preparation in advance

And so as not to arrive "as a tourist" in front of potential future employers, young people who wish can even prepare in advance for this day and thus be supported to have a better chance of finding a job for the summer.

For this, the Department of Hérault and the CRIJ are organizing a week before the big event, i.e. Wednesday March 27th from 10pm nbsp;h to 5 p.m. at the Espace Jeunes Citoyens of Pierresvives in Montpellier, a day of preparation for the "Summer Jobs Day& ;quot;, in order to provide advice and guidance to young people aged 17 and over, to prepare their research and interviews.

On the program: a workshop "curriculum vitae and cover letter", to guide participants in the development of their
application and a "TRE Job Search Techniques" workshop, with job interview simulations.

Participants in the preparation day will be able to register directly for the "Summer Jobs day" and above all they will know in advance the list of companies offering seasonal jobs and details on the positions.
