Down 1-0 in their series against the Kraken, the Dallas Stars needed a big performance in Game 2 if they wanted to go to Seattle with the tie.
That's what happened.

Driven by the diversity of his offense and by its speed of execution, the Texan team had the upper hand 4-2 over Seattle on Thursday night.
After a scoreless first period, young Wyatt Johnston finally opened the scoring at the start of the second period. The No. 53 jumped on a loose puck and slid it under Philip Grubauer to make it 1-0.
Less than six minutes later, former CH Evgenii Dadonov doubled his team's lead with a quick spin.
Still in second, the Kraken showed their fangs when Tye Kartye found the top corner of the net defended by Jake Oettinger with a delicious wrist throw. This goal reduced the score to 2-1.
But the Stars were clearly on a mission and certainly weren't going to slow down.
Barely before the end of the period, the veteran Joe Pavelski, author of four goals (!) in the first game of the series, continued his good work by sending an abandoned disc into the cage of the Kraken, a goal which then restored a priority of two nets to his team.
Veteran Tyler Seguin added some in the middle of the third, deftly redirecting a throw from the tip to make it 4-1.
At the end of the match, the Kraken made sure to remind the Stars that no victory would not be easily won against him. Jordan Eberle used his speed to beat Miro Heiskanen and then tricked Oettinger with a shot into the top of the net, making it 4-2.

But Seattle eventually ran out of time.
