“I have nothing to hide”: the president of the Hérault departmental council, Kléber Mesquida, reveals that he is being treated for lymphoma

Kléber Mesquida indicated, at the start of the public session, this Monday, February 19, that he was being treated for lymphoma, a tumor of the lymphatic system. Under treatment for several weeks, he was reassuring about his abilities to continue running the community's affairs.
"I followed the advice of King Charles who said "Say everything before anyone says too much". It is with this formula that Kléber Mesquida indicated this Monday, as a preamble to the public session of the Departmental Council, that he was suffering from lymphoma, a tumor of the lymphatic system.
Six treatment sessions
An illness diagnosed at the end of last year and for which he must undergo treatment of six treatment sessions, spaced three weeks apart. "The second took place last week and was followed by a flu. I admit I am feeling a bit tired today indicated the political leader in front of his assembly.
"Avoid speculation"
Despite these health problems, Kléber Mesqudia, 78 years old, wanted to be reassured about his abilities to continue to conduct the affairs of the Departmental Council. "This in no way affects my morale, nor my physique, nor my will, nor my full and complete commitment to the service of the institution" he added. The president of the Departmental Council explained that he had "nothing to hide" and justified this desire for transparency through the concern "to avoid any interpretation, any speculation".
