Alors qu’elle avait organisé un anniversaire à son mari à Barcelone, avec des proches de la famille, le voyage de ce couple de Britannique vire au cauchemar après une erreur à l’aéroport.

For his 47th birthday, the party was more complicated than expected. Last May, Andrew and Victoria were to go to Barcelona in Spain with relatives, a trip organized by the latter. Having had one of his legs amputated and she being autistic, Victoria requests special assistance at Bristol airport, that's when everything gets complicated, reports BFMTV.

"It’was my worst nightmare"

While the couple's friends flew to Barcelona on a plane operated by Ryanair, Andrew and Victoria were directed to another plane of the company. Problem, it was not the right destination. Despite multiple checks, the British landed at… Kaunas, Lithuania.

The organizer of the trip therefore found herself at the other end of Europe while the relatives arrived in Catalonia. Although this may seem improbable, it is indeed true. "I asked the flight attendant if we could sit together because I'm afraid of flying. She checked our boarding pass again and put us in the second row. I was distraught and scared. I couldn't stop crying. It’was my worst nightmare", Victoria told The Independent.

Ryanair then took charge of the couple, but there is no direct flight between the Lithuanian capital and Barcelona. The next day, Victoria and Andrew had to take a VTC to reach Riga, more than 230 kilometers away in Latvia, to finally head towards Spain.

But the journey does not end there. Arriving in Barcelona after a day of delay, the suitcases only arrived 24 hours later, because they had remained in Bristol in the United Kingdom. "We sincerely apologize to these passengers for any inconvenience caused as a result of the ABM error, and have assured that they will be fully compensated by the airport Bristol", indicated the company Ryanair, while specifying that one more is open to understand what happened.
