In Alès, sectors under tension are banking on youth during the Taf trade show

The 3rd edition of Taf was held yesterday at the Méjannes-lès-Alès Exhibition Center. Many CFAs were present at the meeting, and relied on young people to replenish the areas which are recruiting. 

As far as the eye can see, the reception stands extend into the Parc des Expos where the Taf (Work, Future, Training). "This show is of capital importance. I say it again and again, we must encourage our young people to train, and this Taf is an opportunity to meet training institutes that we do not know, announced Christophe Rivenq, during the inauguration of the third edition. […] There are 1,400 unfilled jobs in an area like ours, with an unemployment rate of 12.5%. Today, this is not acceptable"

Like every year, all sectors responded to the gathering. Demonstrations, discussions, and meetings punctuated the day, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Training and youth

But it is above all young people that the sectors in tension have targeted, with numerous apprentice training centers (CFA) on site. "We guide, we give directions to structures that need apprentices. The show is a work of networking, conclude Bruno Rimani and Anne Moneta, representatives of the health and social CFA.

On the side of the CFA H et C (hotel, catering, commerce), among other things, hosted a cocktail making and tasting stand to highlight its work. "The bar needs people, it’s a remunerative job that is recruiting!", promises Anne Tuffery, in charge of development at H et C.

"Unfortunately, trade shows are no longer as successful as they once were, although they remain useful.&quot ; For Slimane, the interest of the Salon is based on the contact between recruiters and young people. "It’is a bit more lively than a CV or a cover letter, we have more details, and the demonstrations allow us to visualize the job a little more!"
