In Bouzigues, it's a crisis: the budget has been rejected again by the municipal majority

Après un premier rejet en décembre, la majorité municipale de Bouzigues a, de nouveau, voté contre ce lundi 29 janvier lors du conseil municipal.
The specialty of Bouzigues is oysters. But another pearl is hidden there: the rejection by its own majority of the budget presented to the municipal council. After a first refusal on December 19, the budget was, once again, rejected by its own majority this Monday, January 29 during the new session of the municipal council. There were five abstentions, eight votes against and six for.
A large audience
A municipal council which was held in a marriage hall which became that of divorces in front of around forty people in the public. Whereas normally there are only two. This shows that the political turmoil between Mayor Cédric Raja and a good part of his team arouses curiosity. After a new reading of the elements of the budget, whose personnel costs increase due to the increase in the index point – an increase denounced by the refractory – the mayor opened the discussion.
Inconceivable to vote for this budget
Jean-Jacques Chastel, who handed over his deputy finance delegations in December, spoke on behalf of "several of&# 39;among us" to denounce a certain drift in the accounts, a drop in net savings estimating that the City could go " to bankruptcy". And that it was therefore "inconceivable to vote for this budget".
A certain inaction ?
"It's a budget that you validated at a preparatory meeting in December", the mayor reminded him. "And since December 19, I asked my deputies to meet with them to talk about it. Nobody came. Making a dialogue on your own is complicated." After various comments from members of the ex-majority accusing the mayor of n' having launched no project "for four years", the deliberation was put to a vote. And therefore rejected.
Resignations of refractories requested
In turn accusing the refractories of "putting their personal interest before that of the commune", Cédric Raja invited to "take their responsibilities" and "resign collectively". Before adjourning the other three points on the agenda and closing the session in a general hubbub. And the most complete vagueness regarding the future management of the homeland of the oyster.
