En France: deux enfants sautent d'un 3e étage en feu

GRENOBLE, France – A tragedy was avoided Tuesday night at Grenoble, in France, thanks to the residents of the district of Villeneuve who managed to catch the two children who had to jump from the third floor of a residential building to escape a fire.

The images, widely reported by the French media, show the two children, aged 8 and 10 years, to jump into the void.

On the video, we see the elder holding the younger by the clothing before letting go. A dozen meters down, the citizens manage to catch it at the volume We then see the older of the two children jump up and be in turn collected by the same group.


In a publication on Facebook, the mayor of Grenoble, Eric Piolle, pointed out this rescue that he qualified as”heroic”.

“I want to congratulate the inhabitants of la Villeneuve who made this day a rescue heroic of two children trapped in their burning apartment. Hand in hand, they have allowed two small out unscathed from this drama”, he wrote.
