Edgar Moreau et Alexandre Kantorow en répétition avant le premier concert M. L. – Lewis JOLY

Ce mardi s’ouvrent les Rencontres musicales de Nîmes. Dès la fin d’après-midi, les artistes ont répété.

At the Oratory temple, the large black curtains were unfurled, aiming to make the acoustics more comfortable and intimate, and the XXL wind tunnel was turned on to soften the temperature before the first notes of the inaugural concert.

From 6:15 p.m., it was, for the most part, with their instruments that the musicians crossed the threshold of the temple and for the majority of them, found this place where, last summer, the two evenings had enchanted the public.

Casual style for rehearsal

In shirts and shorts for the vast majority of prestigious instrumentalists that Nîmes welcomes until the end of the week, the session has begun. To, well before nightfall and the entrance of the music lovers, adjust the last tiny details, find the ideal breathing, and laugh too. Isn't this festival a demonstration of touching encounters and reunions between young soloists?? Tonight, it's time for the concert, Alexandre Kantorow, Liya Petrova, Shuichi Okada, Grégoire Vecchioni and Paul Zientara and their viola, Aurélien Pascal and Edgar Moreau with their cello will be joined by pianist Théo Fouchenneret. To share the joy of the scores of Franck, Schubert, Ravel or Part. And launch this 3rd edition with class and sensitivity.
