A citizen of Ukraine Igor Kiyashko, detained in Nizhny Novgorod on 10 April, the Russian investigative authorities accused of espionage and attempting to smuggle military aircraft parts.

“According to investigators, I. Kiyashko arrived in Nizhny Novgorod oblast, to acquire blades, included aircraft engine type RD-33 military aircraft such as the MiG-29. Before that, he met a local resident who promised to give him 42 the above blades for a fee of $ 46,2 thousand,” — said the defender.
Kiyashko was detained by the FSB in one of the Nizhny Novgorod hotels April 10, allegedly after receiving the goods and transfer compensation.
According to the lawyer, the investigation assessed the actions of Ukrainian smuggling attempt the above blades on the territory of Ukraine.
He was charged under part 1 of article 30 of part 1 of article 226.1 (Preparation for illegal movement of equipment which can be used to create specific military equipment).
“In addition, investigators suspected my client of espionage. According to them, Igor Kiyashko tried to acquire copies of technical documentation for multifunctional radar station, part of the anti-aircraft missile system s-400”, — said Gubin.
He noted that on 19 June he entered into an agreement for the protection of Ukrainian at the preliminary investigation of the criminal case by the investigative Department of the FSB of Russia in Nizhny Novgorod region and on the same day notifies the investigator.
However, on the same day with Kiyashko was carried out investigative actions, the defender was not notified, where he was charged with committing a serious crime, under article 276 of the criminal code (Espionage).
“My client Igor Kiyashko categorically denies the participation in Commission of this crime”, — said Gubin.
He added that the Ukrainian at the moment is held in the Nizhny Novgorod jail.
According to the lawyer, to the present time he cannot reach the investigator, in order to fully join the criminal case as a defender Kiyashko.
Earlier, the 34-year-old man attempting to cross into the occupied territory of the Luhansk region, was detained by field investigators of criminal investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National police in the Luhansk region. The offender had no documents, but admitted that he is wanted for a crime committed on the territory of Luhansk region, as a juvenile back in 1998.
