When asked about this by TVMag, Alexandre Laurent (director) has required, in effect, a reminder that this fiction has always been thought to be a mini-series : “We finished the season 1 on one end buckled. The series is called The Bazar of the charity. No, the season 2 would be pointless.“
A back different ?
However, Alexandre Laurent fails to close the door to a concept of the anthology, namely, a series with stories/characters that were different between each season, like True Detective or American Horror Story. Always with TVMag, he did not hesitate to confide : “I can tell you is that we want to address in another way, the right of the woman. But maybe another time.“
And if TF1 is not interested, Netflix could well jump at the opportunity. In a week, the platform will add the series in its catalog, which already makes the happiness of the director : “With Netflix, The Bazaar will be seen in the world. I am very proud of this series which does not have to blush next to the american series such as Breaking Bad or The Handmaid”s Tale. I hope that it will encourage broadcasters to invest in series ambitious.” The message is passed.
