Mardi 8 octobre, le président du MHSC et le traileur Héraultais étaient invités de la Table Ovale au Château de Malmont, à Villeneuvette.

For once, this Tuesday evening, in the setting of the Château de Malmont in Villeneuvette, the Oval Table had rounded contours. And for good reason, the association of entrepreneurs of Clermontais, chaired by Bernard Bilhac, had invited as a key witness a distinguished guest: Laurent Nicollin, president of the Montpellier Hérault Sport Club, the Montpellier football club which is celebrating, this year, half a century of existence and performances in the elite of the round ball.

Of course, under Bernard Bilhac's questions, the question of achievements logically arose, of the budget of Ligue 1 clubs, of the new stadium project, of the distribution of television rights… But it is also, very much, a question of emotion and, above all, of solidarity.”We are the club of a city, a department, a region. We are not just professional players present on Sundays to play football. We are here to support children who are sick in hospitals, to support children in difficulty… It is important to give before receiving, that is the philosophy that we have established at the club. We want to do important things for the city and show that footballers also have heart. We often oppose footballers to rugby players but I believe that at La Paillade we have the heart, and the spirit, perhaps more "rugby&quot that some rugby players ", measured the successor of Louis Nicollin at the head of a club which carries an endowment fund: "Orange hope and blue dream" intended to implement charitable actions, in particular for the benefit of children. And in this game, the MHSC is also champion.

And one of the spearheads of this spirit in the stands, Coustoulin Sylvain Sanmartin, has a crazy ambition: to cover 340 kilometers in seven days, the equivalent of more than seven daily Marathons for the benefit of children*. " What Sylvain is doing is extraordinary. At first, we were chasing each other because he was the leader of the hill… But we got to know each other, to appreciate each other. He is someone I like a lot and his initiative is magnificent", greeted Laurent Nicollin. “There are people who have difficulty running 5 km, some of our players run 20, and then there are people who do 300. We are not all equal in this respect. And we are lucky to have the extraterrestrial of the evening: Sylvain Sanmartin”, introduced Bernard Bilhac, president of the Table Ovale and vice-president of the RCO.

A former “ultra” passed to the Ultra-trail

All smiles, passionate, the main person concerned, a former "ultra" passed to the ultra… trail and sports coach based in Lacoste tells the "surpassing oneself", the shared emotion. " I will run for the association Espoir orange et rêve bleu. At the finish, the sporting challenge is secondary. I have this social fiber that burns in me, I want to help people who need it, by rallying partner companies. All together, I am convinced that we can make the counter explode for the good cause."
