Inauguration of the Guy-Lafleur highway: the Canadian was not invited to the ceremony of his former glory

MISE & Agrave; DAY

THURSO | No member of the Canadian organization was present at the inauguration ceremony of the Guy-Lafleur highway, Thursday, in Thurso. The reason ? No one was invited by government authorities.

Usually, the president of the former players, Réjean Houle, represents the Habs in several events of all kinds during a year. That of the inauguration of the Guy-Lafleur highway, his former teammate, could have been one.

Same thing for Yvon Lambert who is very present in the Quebec community. On Tuesday, he was at home to give his impressions of the news. He did so during an interview on LCN.

The Prime Minister's press secretary confirmed that the Canadian had not been invited to the ceremony of his former player.

“This is a government and family announcement, replied Ewan Sauve in an email. The toponymic designation is the responsibility of the Government of Quebec in collaboration with the municipalities.”
