The commercial brand introduces sales professions to young people from medical educational institutes. The supermarket also invested in the acquisition of a plastic bottle recycler?

Every Monday until the end of the year, the Netto store puts four young people from medical educational institutes to work. "We introduce them to and learn the sales profession. They come with tutors. The action is supervised by the Handiwork association. explains Netto store manager Alice Esparza. The management of the discount supermarket is increasing its initiatives to diversify its activities to build customer loyalty. And its commercial strategy also involves actions to raise user awareness about recycling plastic bottles. 

A bottle for a cent

Message received five out of five by this young man in fatigues. He carries two transparent bags filled with plastic bottles which he slides one by one into the recycling robot. Every three weeks to a month he comes here to perform the same ritual. In addition to the postal service, the Netto brand offers other services such as the recycling of plastic bottles. Each container that is put inside the robot earns one cent. The user can thus, of their choice, make a donation which would go into a kitty on behalf of an association.

Crushed Bottles

He can also win a discount voucher that can be used for purchases in the store. Once absorbed and then scanned by the recycler, the bottle is crushed and reduced to flakes. This Thursday, January 11, 2024, the recycler counter  from Netto showed 109,695 bottles processed. The bins are emptied every two or three days. A carrier will then collect the cargo and send it to recyclers. It is up to them to retransform the glitter into plastic bottles.
