International travel: Canada could withdraw the vaccination requirement to enter the country< /p> UPDATE DAY

The federal government plans to remove the COVID-19 vaccination requirement for people entering Canada by September 30, the same day it will end random testing.

At the same time, the ArriveCan application will become optional as of the same date.

Wearing a mask will however remain compulsory on trains as well as in planes.

The aviation and travel industries say they are happy with these relaxations, as they have pushed the government to review these restrictive rules for international travelers.
